The Grand Teton (13,770 ft) looms like a giant over the surrounding mountains in my home mountain range. With 7,000 vertical feet of relief to the valley floor and intricate route finding to gain its summit, it is solidified as one of the most classic mountains in the United States. If you're feeling ambitious, you can climb the whole skyline from right to left, which is dubbed the "Cathedral Traverse".
