I graduated from college and moved to Yosemite with the intention of cutting my teeth climbing on it’s looming walls. This particular iconic chunk of perfect Sierra Nevada granite was one of the first major features that I climbed when I arrived. Huge, committing, and terrifying, I clearly remember laying awake at the base of it the night before our climb and looking up the face into the unknown. I have since returned numerous times and had many more adventures, but this wall will always mean a lot to me.
